((So we just dropped off my dad at the airport. He is going to Afghanistan for nine months (more or less) in the navy. My mom is going to take it hard, as this is the longest he has ever been deployed. I really do love my dad. He’s a rock for our family and such a solid guy in general. I’m going to miss him.))

Warriors come in all shapes and sizes. Some times warriors make sacrifices for the good of many. Always respect those warriors. This child’s loved one, is a warrior. That person made the ultimate sacrifice. This child is also a warrior. He too made a sacrifice. He did not lay down his life, but he gave up a loved one. This may be one of the hardest sacrifices to give.
((I may joke about battle and glorify fighting, but this is something I will always respect. Real people making real choices, and losing real lives. Pray for them, and keep them in your thoughts.))
